pyarrow.compute.remainder#
- pyarrow.compute.remainder(dividend, divisor, /, *, memory_pool=None)#
Compute the remainder of the arguments element-wise.
The result has the same sign as the dividend (truncated division). This is equivalent to the C/C++ ‘%’ operator. Integer and decimal division by zero returns an error, while floating-point division by zero returns NaN. Use function “remainder_checked” if you want to get an error in all the aforementioned cases.
- Parameters:
- dividendArray-like or scalar-like
Argument to compute function.
- divisorArray-like or scalar-like
Argument to compute function.
- memory_pool
pyarrow.MemoryPool, optional If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
