pyarrow.compute.utf8_capitalize

pyarrow.compute.utf8_capitalize(strings, /, *, memory_pool=None)

Capitalize the first character of input.

For each string in strings, return a capitalized version, with the first character uppercased and the others lowercased.

Parameters:

stringsArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

memory_poolpyarrow.MemoryPool, optional

If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
