pyarrow.compute.list_element

pyarrow.compute.list_element(lists, index, /, *, memory_pool=None)

Compute elements using of nested list values using an index.

lists must have a list-like type. For each value in each list of lists, the element at index is emitted. Null values emit a null in the output.

Parameters:

listsArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

indexArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

memory_poolpyarrow.MemoryPool, optional

If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
