pyarrow.compute.divide#

pyarrow.compute.divide(dividend, divisor, /, *, memory_pool=None)#

Divide the arguments element-wise.

Integer division by zero returns an error. However, integer overflow wraps around, and floating-point division by zero returns an infinite. Use function “divide_checked” if you want to get an error in all the aforementioned cases.

Parameters:
dividendArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

divisorArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

memory_poolpyarrow.MemoryPool, optional

If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
