pyarrow.compute.negate

pyarrow.compute.negate(x, *, memory_pool=None)

Negate the argument element-wise.

Results will wrap around on integer overflow. Use function “negate_checked” if you want overflow to return an error.

Parameters
  • x (Array-like or scalar-like) – Argument to compute function

  • memory_pool (pyarrow.MemoryPool, optional) – If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
