pyarrow.compute.log1p_checked

pyarrow.compute.log1p_checked(x, *, memory_pool=None)

Compute natural log of (1+x) element-wise.

Values <= -1 return -inf or NaN. Null values return null. This function may be more precise than log(1 + x) for x close to zero.Use function “log1p” if you want non-positive values to return -inf or NaN.

Parameters

• x (Array-like or scalar-like) – Argument to compute function

• memory_pool (pyarrow.MemoryPool, optional) – If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
