pyarrow.compute.subtract_checked

pyarrow.compute.subtract_checked(x, y, /, *, memory_pool=None)

Subtract the arguments element-wise.

This function returns an error on overflow. For a variant that doesn’t fail on overflow, use function “subtract”.

Parameters:

xArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

yArray-like or scalar-like

Argument to compute function.

memory_poolpyarrow.MemoryPool, optional

If not passed, will allocate memory from the default memory pool.
