 The data is owned by the caller of the function.

Return value

Returns: GArrowField
 

The new field that also has the given metadata. If both of the existing metadata and the given metadata have the same keys, the values in the given metadata are used.
 The caller of the method takes ownership of the data, and is responsible for freeing it.
